What is La Sociedad Hispánica?
We are a Hispanic organization on campus dedicated to spreading awareness over Hispanic Culture at The University of Texas at Arlington. We welcome anyone and everyone to join la familia!
How do I become an official LSH member?
To become an official member, you must pay the membership fee and fill out the membership form. Access to the membership form will be given once membership is paid. To get more information over how and when to pay, please fill out our interest form, and our secretary will contact you.
How much is the membership fee?
$20 per semester or $30 per academic year.
What does our membership fee go towards?
The membership fee goes toward paying for food, snacks, drinks, and activities provided at meetings/events. If members are interested in sports, we will cover the fee to enter LSH team(s) in intramural sports such as soccer, volleyball, dodgeball, etc. We also offer a scholarship in the Spring Semester for official members as well as the opportunity to earn senior cords. LSH loves UTA traditions, so we will cover the participation fee for members to participate and represent LSH at ooze-ball, bed races, and other activities to show maverick pride. We also offer members LSH merchandise at a discounted price & much more!
